How to Haunt

What it takes

Have you ever wondered what it takes to haunt a house “Shadows Style”? First, you start out with a spooky house. An old 19th century infirmary that is rumored to be haunted is a great start. Next, you add dedicated volunteers who take pride in getting visitors to scream as much as possible. We can’t list all of our volunteers here, but here is a list of the groups we have on hand to ensure that you get the best scare every Halloween.

Executives

This group of people coordinate things from the top so we have what we need to scare as many people as possible each year.

Finance

The people that ensure we spend our money wisely.

Costumes / Make-up

The people that make our charactors look their very scariest.

Resource Development

The people that help find funding so we can purchase things we need.

Marketing

These people work on the website, posters, and other things so that people know about the House of Shadows.

Construction

The construction folks help build and tear down sets each year so a new experience is always what you get from the House of Shadows. No “same old same old” thrills here from year to year!

Characters

A mixture of talented people with a mission to scare you is only half the fun of the House of Shadows. Rumor has it that we are assisted by prior tenants of the old children’s hospital. It’s true; we set up a haunted house inside an actual haunted house!
